The most recent version of the standard is ISO 9001:2026 and is even more small-business friendly than its predecessor versions.
Most small businesses can establish an ISO 9001 QMS through securing a copy of the ISO 9001 official standard and implementing the requirements. However, sometimes if resources are stretched, it is helpful to work with a consultant to assist in implementation. A typical implementation is 3-4 months in length depending on the complexity of your business.
